Zara Kand is an oil painter and art writer based in the High Desert of California.
Zara works primarily in oil paint on canvas as well as sculpture and in film with hand-painted animation. She has exhibited nationwide, and her work can be found in numerous private collections.
“Zara Kand’s mysterious and psychological artworks are both singular and unique among contemporary southern California artists working today. By growing up with an individualistic background in Europe, it seems she learned to develop a special eye for the sentiments that emotionally bind us as a species.”
