Solo show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery, “Caught in the Folds”

Zara Kand is exhibiting her newest series of oil paintings flanked with fabric sculptures in this solo exhibition, Caught in the Folds. Based in the high desert, Kand paints the figurative amongst barren and symbolic landscapes. She depicts feelings of spirituality and the divine feminine through magic realism. Attracted to mystery, Zara Kand reflects on these feelings through her depictions of folded coverings, moody clouds and mystical transformation.
